Attorney Gillian Lewter graduated cum laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. She is admitted to practice law in the states of New York and Michigan. She is also admitted to practice federal law in the Eastern District of New York. In Michigan, she practiced as an advocate for domestic violence victims and was court-appointed criminal counsel. She returned to her native New York in 2009 and opened her own practice, The Lewter Law Firm, P.C. Also in 2009, she was selected for a prestigious year-long internship with Judge Gerald Lebovits of the New York City Housing Court. Currently, she artfully handles matrimonial and family law cases ranging from high-value asset distributions to debt allocation. She is also dedicated to helping clients across New York with their family law and estate planning needs. Gillian is a skilled litigator who has an innate ability to negotiate favorable settlements.
